Before my computer completly messed up I knew some core system files had been damaged but I failed to do anything about it.
Now whenever I start up my computer all that happens is that when it's starting up and it's on the black screen it says
"Boot from CD/DVD :" X 2 then
"DISK BOOT FAILURE, INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ENTER"
Therefore what I do is enter my recover cd and press enter and everthing seems fine then when it comes to repairing the computer it asks me to enter a recovery floppy disk but I don't have a floppy disk drive and I only got a cd.
Also I have tried instead of trying to repair it to format it but all it says is select the drive you want to format from the list below and in the list it says it hasn't recognised any drives. The exact words are "There is no disk in this drive" it repeats it 5 times.
PS My hard disk is still alive (vibrates and makes noises)
All wires inside my computer are connected.
Can anyone help?

Reload defaults in your BIOS setup.

Install your Operating System again, it automatically repairs your Boot files. If problem persist go to the boot options at the boot time, and change the order of booting drives.

Wat you should do is to see if your h.d is being detected in the bios. The second step is to set the boot option to cdrom in the boot sequence menu(remember u r still in the bios). Then you save the settings and restart your computer with a bootable CD containing Windows or another operating system. Then from there choose whether to format your hard disk, install a new windows, or check what problem your operating system may have. In case, your hard disk is blank, re-install the windows software.

Normal restore process begins with removing files from drive. There is a way however for you to wipe the drive before even beginning the restore. While booting up your system, try holding down ctrl while tapping backspace about 2 times a second until the manufacturer settings for your hard drive comes up. You will then have a list of options, you will want to choose number 6. This will write zero's to your hard drive and most likely will allow you to afterwards go through the full restore process without any further problems.

It sounds to me like your hard drive is defective. Just because it vibrates and makes noise, etc. doesn't mean that it is any good. My guess is that if you were to look at your system BIOS, and go to the hard disk section you would not see your hard disk listed there.
Because your system no longer sees the hard disk it tries to boot off of a CD but when you don't have a CD in the drive it prompts you for one. When you put the Windows disk in the drive it attempts to install Windows but like you said Windows cannot see the drive (because it is defective).
Good luck,
Captain Computer

Go to BIOS by pressing F8 (or DEL) and let the PC find the hard disks again (in General tab or Hard disk detection tab).
Then boot from the original CD (do not use a floppy) , select new installation.
