One of the files containing the system's registry data had to be recovered by use of a log or alternate copy. The recovery was successful.
Why do I see that. It's not everytime I turn on the computer mind you. Just wondering what's going on and if there's something I need to be doing.
I have Windows XP if you are wondering. Thanks for any knowledge on this issue.
That error usually happends if the Registry (the file system that holds all the information to all the programs that are installed on your computer and the instructions for the OS to put it in lamens terms) has been corupted, usually windows makes a backup of the registry and when it detects an error it will restore the back up to fix the error. More than likely a program you uninstalled (or installed) caused the error in the registry. I would use system restore to restore the computer to the date AFTER you first recieved this message, go back even father if you can. That should solve the problem…but it may not. A registry cleaning program maybe able to fix this problem as well.
