Is there a way to find out if the data on a Windows disc is fully functional?

There's a possibility that the discs that contain my os and recovery tools came in contact with liquid. Is there a method to find out if all of the data is safe, so I don't run the risk of messing up my computer the next time I use them?

If the discs in question are CDs you are likely fine. Clean them gently with a soft cloth and nothing should be the worse. If you are very concerned, you could always download the free VMWare Server and "reinstall" your OS from the disks into a virtual machine. If it works without a hitch, the CDs are fine.
