Don't do it – none of the extended warranties offered are any good – check your household insurance to see if the item is covered. If it isn't it may be worth while calling your insurance company and asking them for a quote.

The only extended covers that are any use are usually the ones made from canvass or plastic. They have to be big enough to wrap completely round whatever it is that you want to cover, making it impossible for water or dirt to penetrate.
They can quite often be found in £1 shops.
Any other form of extended cover is completely useless, grossly overpriced, and frequently borders on criminal fraud.
If the goods you are buying are any good, they shouldn't need extended cover.
