Can data be recovered after a computer is reset to a factory setting?
My brother accidently reset the computer to the factory setting without making recovery disks first. Is there any way to recover the data? It is an hp labtop.
Thx

No, basically it is formated and then everything is reinstalled, destroying everything you had in it.

Yes, mabey, for 250+ USD to do it legally. like geeksquad, ontrack, or buying the software. Do a google search for data recovery.

Yes and no some times it can be if you don’t write any thing else on the disk and use a specially made program to find it or have someone like a Geek Squad Rep do it.
